Illegal “Criminal” Immigration

October 6, 2004

The purpose the government we serve has in virtually turning its back on people committing a felony by crossing our boarders illegally should be obvious to everybody as it is an economic decision that impacts the one’s who finance the politicians campaigns. In a sick way, you could say the politicians are caught up in a Catch 22.

To start with, illegal immigration, to the extent it is now, has to do with the minimum wage laws. Politicians who are either to stupid to realize or down right sinister perpetrate minimum wage laws by telling the worker that business owners are totally self-serving and they have no feeling for their employees. The business owners success is based on how little they can pay employees and how much they can bleed out of them, like the government does to taxpayers. The government is here to “protect” the workers from the “meanies” as it is full of compassion for them. They will deal with the ruthless employers. I can’t believe people buy into this stuff.

How does it go; “divide and conquer.” By causing this division, politicians line up votes as there are more employees than there are employers. People, for (unreasonable) reasons that defy logic, buy into the fact the minimum wage gets them more money. They fail to realize all cost, payroll, taxes, etc. are in the selling price of the products they produce and purchase. All these cost are paid by YOU the consumer in higher prices. The government mandated higher payrolls add to the cost of doing business. Another “benefit” of the minimum wage is, people that do not qualify for it for reasons such as lack of experience, wind up unemployed.  Obviously, this puts a cash drain on those that are employed as the non-workers welfare is paid in tax dollars.

Knowing (if they have a brain in their head) the outcome of the laws they put in place are and will be far more detrimental than helpful to you and I, politicians have to come up with a solution. Repealing minimum wage laws is out of the question as that wold cost them votes and the opportunity to gain more power over, and profit from, their “constitutents/workers.”

Enter illegal immigration. These people fill the void that has been created in the work place by minimum wage laws. You can call businesses unscrupulous or think they are doing it to survive foreign competition, whatever you want. Regardless, they hire these people and the government they bought turns a blind eye to it. Bush’s making them legal isn’t going to solve anything, even if you thought it would. They will immediately jump into that higher wage bracket as they can no longer work for wages below government mandated minimums. The result; you will have a lot more hurting businesses, higher prices, a lot more people on welfare and a lot more imports because the American businesses cannot compete.

The only solution: All of us take up a little economics 101 and step back to reality. We need to phase out minimum wage laws so that everyone can work. Kids coming out of school living at home with basically zero overhead can afford to work for wages below the mandated minimum and would help to pick up the slack now filled by illegal (criminal) immigration.

History teaches, if you are a good employee, your boss will reward you accordingly. If he doesn’t, then his competition is waiting for you. We as a people must start getting back to a little self-governing and stop acting like babies, treating the government as a “parent.” We must also put illegal back in illegal. How many Americans are denied what should be rights and privileges including their right to vote for misdemeanor or felony convictions? How many Americans are behind bars for victimless crimes? More per capita than any other country in the world. Is this government going to pass a law making their crimes “legal” and grant them the same privileges Bush and his comrades are trying to do with people committing felonies crossing our boarders? Government, morals, integrity, moral law; there no longer is any connection.

The bottom line is, the laws of economics have their origin with God. No politician, economist, accountant, professor or anyone else can change them. They are just as indelible as the laws of physics. We must learn to live within them if we truly want to not only get back control of our lives, but  retain/regain the gift of liberty which comes from God (not government) and to keep and gain on our properties.

You shouldn’t have to guess what I will do if elected. I don’t care how many illegal immigrants there are, back they would go. My compassion is for people who do not commit crimes: Period. I will vigorously pursue repealing minimum wages. I earned my stature in life by working for what I was worth and so can everyone else. I thank God I had the opportunity and I want to give everyone the same opportunities I had. The government will no longer hamper your desire to work. You can get a little on the job training (OJT) at a young age and work your way up. From experience, I can tell you, all to often it’s a lot better than the “indoctrination” you get in government halls of “education.”

Illegal is illegal is illegal.
