I have followed
the Iraq story for many years and feel qualified to
spell out the chronology of events that have brought us to this point in
time.
1989/1990.
The iron curtain came down. Gorbachev came to the realization that the
U.S.S.R. could no longer continue business as usual as the socialist system
it developed from the teachings of Marx came to its predictable end. I find
it hard to believe that, with the billions upon billions of dollars spent on
surveillance of the Communist block, this government had no idea it did not
pose a threat long before that. But then, letting us know
that would have changed our focus inward where
the people are most vulnerable, that is, to the actions of their own
government. With the cold war over, the leaders of the world could not
justify to the citizens the need to continue building arms at the rate they
had been. In America, military bases were closed, or at least those that lay
in States and Congressional districts where the representatives lacked the
political clout to keep them open. No administration could go to the people
and present convincing arguments for building and developing arms at the
rate they had been up to that point in time. Aside from very extensive oil
interest, the Bush family was and probably still is up to its arms in the
military arms business through the Carlyle Group which is one of the largest
players in the “industry of death and destruction.” Remember President
Eisenhower’s ominous parting words… “BEWARE OF THE MILITARY INDUSTRIAL
COMPLEX” Read; The Iron Triangle by Dan
Briody.
Bush 1 comes to
power riding the coat tails of Reagan. There is a huge surplus of military
hardware in Germany and other parts of Europe. Should
it be destroyed? Should it be warehoused? How do we justify building more
when we have more than any nation could possibly need in times of peace? Is
there somewhere in the world where we can get involved and use up the stuff?
Madeline Albright, the Secretary of State in the Clinton administration,
asked that question from the democrat side, and not only suggested using,
but did.
Enter
Iraq and Saddam Hussein. He was an ally and
lacky of Bush when he headed up the CIA along
with Rumsfeld and their other comrades in the
government we serve. Did you know, when Saddam Hussein visited the U.S. as a
guest of Rumsfeld, while in Detroit being given
the keys to the City, he donated $250,000’s to a Christian Church. They use
to have a plaque in his honor but who knows. Rumsfeld,
Bush et al were complicit in giving him WMD’S to slaughter Iranians. The war
between Iraq and Iran was over who would control Kuwait. Iran was moving to
take over the country. If Iran got it, there would be a Shiite belt across
an area that would have the power to regulate oil flow from the region and
our relationship with the Iran our actions created, (We worked to get rid of
their legitimate gov’t and get the Shah of Iran,
Pahlavi in power) was tenuous to say the least.
That was the people who control our governments concern and
WMD’s to Saddam could be the deciding factor.
While Saddam was frowned upon for his brutality,(We
defended him in the U.N. when he used them) the Emir of Kuwait, was
recognized as a genuine low life in the Mid East by most countries. He had
been slant drilling into Iraq and stealing billions of dollars worth of oil.
At one OPEC meeting, the Iraqi Ambassador got so mad at the Kuwaiti over
this, he threw a scalding cup of hot tea in the man’s face. The Emir was
challenged by Saddam to pay, if memory serves me correct, $8,000,000,000’s
in reparations. Saddam went to April Ogalsvey,
the American Ambassador to Iraq, and told her he planned on taking military
action against Kuwait as negotiations had failed. He was told America would
not interfere in the matter. Voila! He invaded Iraq.
Bush 1 had found
his disposal grounds for all that military hardware. With lies about an
Iraqi build up on the Saudi border (Satellite photos are available to prove
the lie) and the horrendous actions of Iraqi soldiers in the hospitals of
Kuwait as reported by the Kuwaiti Ambassador to the U.N.’s daughter posing
as a peasant girl in her speech to congress, just to name a few, he managed
to get the mob mentality to a fever pitch in America.
Kuwait spent $12,000,000’s with a public relations firm in Washington D.C.
(where else) for a campaign of lies to help whip us into a killing frenzy.
Americans who couldn’t find Iraq on a map rallied to the call and supported
his “mission of mercy” coming to the aid of a sexual pervert, liar and thief
in Kuwait. Some day I’ll tell you how Phillipino
girls were treated when they answered the call for house help in Kuwait.
The “allies” we
had purchased over the years rallied behind him. Wars always take the
people’s eyes off the actions of their governments at home giving them a
cover to perpetrate more and more crimes on said people. I’ll bet many of
them did just that. Understand, I am not in any
way condoning the actions of Saddam. His actions are not what I am talking
about. IT’S the actions of the government I answer to that concerns me.
AGAIN,
America led the world to war against a country that had no
Air Force, no Navy and a rag tag Army. A country
that had never threatened us making the war UNCONSTITUTIONAL, not that that
matters in the “New America” that is now the head State in Bush 1’s “New
World Order” or budding Empire. The Offense, excuse me, Defense Dept. used
up that entire surplus in a few weeks. The total fire power used in that few
weeks rivaled all that used in WW11 so I’ve heard. Multi million dollar
missiles were used to take out tanks that wouldn’t bring 5 cents a pound in
scrap yards. Terrified soldiers retreating were cut down like rag dolls. The
death toll was reported to be close to 100,000. You might have noticed,
the planners carried out the carnage largely at night. That is done so those
perpetrating the act don’t see the extent of the death and misery they have
created. Read; On Killing by Lt. Col. David Grossman. It spells out how
governments, including ours, create a mind set of “Just following Orders”
regardless how heinious. But none of that is
important. The dead on both sides were only “collateral.” What’s important
is, the billions upon billions of surplus was used up and the government we
serve had made it’s once ally, Iraq into a boogy
man to scare us and an “unwilling customer” for the arms industries
products. We put an embargo on Iraq. The U.N. lacky’s
did what they were told and went along with it.
How many billions of dollars went to the military industrial complex to
enforce that under the Clinton administration, who knows?
Ending the
carnage is where Bush 1 screwed up. Remember how his “ratings” were at an
80% or 90% high during the war. They were in the toilet when
Clinton ran against him. He didn’t keep it going. He forgot
what FDR or maybe it was Wilson had taught future presidents. Keep a “good
war” going and you will not only be reelected, but in a position to gain
more and more power over and profit from the people you were elected to
serve. Clinton came on the scene. No question he was a low life. He got into
the act by ignoring the Constitutional provisions for going to war as his
predecessors had. The civil war in Yugoslavia?
Perfect. Once again we engaged in “mercy murder” in a foreign dispute. Aside
from that, he sent missiles costing millions to blow up an aspirin factory
in Sudan, killing 25 or more people and so on. It helped to get him
reelected but he wasn’t satisfying the appetite of the arms industry to the
extent they had become accustomed.
Enter Bush 11 and
the Neo-Cons who make up his Offense, there I go again, Defense Dept. From
the day Bush was elected, he let it be known Iraq was
in his gunsights. They had it in mind to turn
our foreign policy over to Ariel Sharon and the Likud.
9/11 played right into their hands. Side note: You do recall; the Airport
Security Inspectors (unlike the gov’t people who
were paid an exorbitant insurance premium to insure it wouldn’t happen) did
everything by the book the gov’t had written
when they let the terrorist on the planes. No mistakes. They were let go and
the one’s who had and continue to screw up have taken control. Sleep tight.
Anyway, Osama bin Laden had written a dossier
explaining his hatred for his former ally, America, who had supported his
terrorist activities against the Russians in Afghanistan. He told the world
basically what we would tell the world if some foreign nation set up a
military base in our country. Talk about terror. I wouldn’t want to be a
soldier occupying in America. The Neo-Cons knew Bin Laden hated Saddam
Hussein with the same hatred he had for us as Saddam is a Sunni Secularist.
If you follow the news, then you are aware of the fear of a civil war
between the Sunni’s and Shiite’s in Iraq aren’t you? Twice, I believe, Bin
Laden tried to take him out. Bin Laden aided the Shiite population in Iraq
in their 1991 revolt against Saddam.
Nonetheless, the
Neo-Cons know we get our marching orders from the press and they had and
have the press and this administration in their pockets. They even have the
support of Bush’s “conservative” propaganda ministers like
Hannity, Limbaugh, Ralph
Reed et al. I believe it was on the 13th Bush turned our eyes
from Bin Laden to Iraq. He did put a show on by going
into Afghanistan. Billions upon Billions of dollars of military hardware
were used and is being used there to destroy hovels that wouldn’t bring
$50.00’s on the U.S. market. Did you know, one “SMART BOMB” cost $385,000’s.
Think of the good that could be done with that money. Regardless, some
American “collateral” sometimes called soldiers were and are being killed.
Bin Laden’s dream has come true. We are on his
turf and our arrogance is turning the world against us. Undoubtedly,
Rumsfeld is envious of the amount of recruits
Bin Laden is getting. Problem is, Afghanistan is
not in the area Sharon and the Neo-Cons want to take control of. Iraq? Now
that is another story. You are aware Israel ranks number two or three, by
their own admission, in the world when it comes to amassed nuclear weapons.
According to Jane’s Review out of England, one of the most trusted
organizations when it comes to reporting matters of this type, Israel has
twice the number of Nukes that England has.
Enter the
convicted felon, Ahmed Chalabi. You remember
him. He sat in a seat of honor behind Laura Bush when Bush gave his own
version of “The State of the Union” address. Bush is
amazing. He publicly prides himself with not knowing what is going on around
him. His “vision’ is what counts. Chalabi’s
running from a 22 year prison term for bank fraud in Jordan.
A predator without a nation. He came from Iraq
but fled to Jordan. Started the Petra Bank with loot he took with him and
once he had suckered in depositors and investors, he absconded with over
$360,000,000’s to England. They welcomed him, and the loot but he knew where
a lot more power was for sale so he came to the U.S., more importantly,
Washington D.C.. He had started an organization
called the Iraqi National Congress (INC). Not out of any love for Iraq or
its people but with the hope of using it to overthrow Saddam and taking the
country over. He knew the heart of the Neo-Cons because he has the same
heart so he approached them with a proposal that would satisfy their aims
and gain him what he wanted. This Arab they liked. For his part, he agreed
to have Iraq recognize Israel if they would back his goal to be Iraq’s PM.
All he had to do was produce “evidence” to insite
the American people to go to war in Iraq once again. He lived up to his side
of the bargain, needless to say. Documents forged in Israel were produced
stating Saddam Hussein tried to buy “yellow cake” in Niger. Remember those
Aluminum tubes Colin Powell held up in the U.N., the only physical evidence
ever produced to convince people Saddam was busy building a capability to
build a nuclear weapon? The Dept. of Energy had stated emphatically they
could not be used for the production of a centrifuge. They were to small,
hard coat anodized and lack the tolerances of the common tin can.
Side note:
Chalabi’s Nephew who
has a murder warrant outstanding against him, has been called upon to act as
prosecuting attorney against Saddam. He is a lawyer affiliated with the
Feith & Zell law
firm in Israel. Douglas Feith.
No. 3 man in the “Offense”, there I go again, Defense
Dept. is associated with that
firm.
It worked! He
did and we did. Unfortunate for him, his role of being a low life crook came
to the surface. Perle,
Wolfowitz, Feith et al supported him to
the bitter end. He didn’t do badly though. He got over $40,000,000’s of the
money you work so hard for. As a matter of fact, up to this last July, he
was getting $375,000’s a month from the Neo-Cons “Offense Dept.” The
Neo-Cons, the Likud and
Sharon; they got what they want. The military industrial complex got what it
wants. The “christians” who supported and
support the idea there is some “special” link between the U.S. and Israel
got what they wanted. Hmm! Didn’t Christ die for ALL of humanity. Show me in
the bible where God is a respecter of some special people.
Any special people. A couple of other motives for
the war come to mind. This one is from Paul Craig Roberts, a former
Assistant Secretary of the U. S. Treasury…”The U.S. has become the world’s
largest debtor, in hock to foreign investors for one-fourth (1/4) of our
Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The ratio of U.S. external debt (what we owe
foreigners) and US exports is approaching the crisis ratios of banana
republics.
The perilous
condition of the dollar is one of the reasons Bush invaded
Iraq. What keeps the overvalued dollar up is the fact that it
is the currency in which the Middle East bills its oil. Every country has to
purchase dollars in order to pay for its oil, and these purchases keep the
dollar afloat.
Just prior to the
US invasion, sanctions on Iraqi oil had run their
course and were about to be removed. Saddam
Hussein intended to bill Iraq oil in Euros, which could have started the
abandonment of the dollar by oil countries. Instead of fixing our economic
problems, we started a war.”
Then of course
there is the one that would be laughable if it wasn’t costing so many lives
and dollars. We are there for “humanitarian” reasons. If you consider
appointing a “Saddam” who has the support of the Gov’t
you serve and using our military in the same role Saddam used his Republican
Guard as humanitiarian, then I guess you are
right. More about him further on.
Side note:
Chalabi, watch your back. These guys play for
keeps and your now useless collateral unless you know something I don’t.
Did you notice:
Not one of these motives provides for upholding the Constitutional provision
in Article 1 Section 8. This provision states
plainly “Only the Congress has the power to declare war. IT CANNOT delegate
that power to anyone, including the chief executive. Not one of them, except
for lies, can be linked to defending our nation. You’ve been had ladies and
gentlemen and it is costing you and yours in blood and money.
Bush, the man who
is guided by “visions”, got what he wanted. Maybe his interest in oil and
his reported hatred for Saddam for trying to take out his father are some of
the factors behind his decisions. I don’t know. He now has the chance to
play a god. God takes His marching orders from Bush, or so he would like to
believe, and God sets aside Christian principles when it comes to His
dealings with Israel. Unfortunately, people are buying
into that. He has focus and makes decisions alright. But so did a lot of
other leaders during the last century. Damn it’ all, if he has to kill all
but two Iraqi’s, he is going to bring democracy to the country. Needless to
say, part of that democracy will be to express undying love for him. The
amount of American lives lost and tax payer dollars spent are meaningless,
so long as his and his cohorts in crime, the Neo-Cons, goals are met. The
body count of Iraqi’s doesn’t count. The 20th Century was the
bloodiest in the history of man and Bush is out to break that record. Why
else would you want to build more weapons than the countries in the EU,
Russia, Japan and China combined, and that’s just in this
years budget.
Anyway, to bring
“Democracy” (The worst form of government as it is akin to
mobocracy) to Iraq, Bush
needed a new lacky. Enter
Allawi. He is a known terrorist to the CIA. I believe a theatre full
of people and a school bus being blown to bits are amongst his trophies. But
Allawi is a smart man. He knows, like
Chalabi, how to use this government. Make
friends with Bush and he will not even consider your resume’.
Allawi comes to power in place of Saddam and the
AMERICAN MILITARY replace Saddam’s Republican Guard. They’re the one’s
taking orders from Allawi the purpose being to
kill every man, woman and child until they learn to submit to the wishes of
Bush and Allawi. You have read that they have
only found about 5,000 graves that can be attributed to Saddam’s policies
and those graves are the bodies of people who engaged in the 1991 uprising
against him haven’t you. Before you say anything, consider the body count
during our own civil war. Those hundreds and thousands of graves were as
much a lie as everything else. Actually the body count since we’ve been
killing far surpasses anything Saddam was even capable of doing. Sure
Saddam ruled with an iron fist as Tito did in Yugoslavia. How else do you
rule factions that, if given the opportunity, would kill each other to a
man. Obviously our own venture in Iraq is proving
that point. Iraq was a creation of Britain in the 20’s. They wrote the
geography and pulled out. Considering history, it was inevitable a person
like Saddam would come to power or the country would split up into Sunni,
Shiite and Kurdish States: As Yugoslavia has done and our country almost
did.
Does anyone out
there honestly believe the government we serve will allow a government to
come to power in Iraq that is not a vassal state to
us? If you do I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. We’ve built 14
permanent military installations. We’ve established the worlds largest
“Embassy” in Iraq. Right in Saddam’s hated palace I might add. WE’RE NEVER
GOING TO LEAVE. Empires don’t have changes of heart. They succumb to their
own idea of consumption without production.
The democrats
have been “undemocrated.” These policies were
the property of Wilson, FDR, Truman, Johnson et al. The Republicans finally
saw the “merits” of them and decided to take them to new heights. They were
sick and tired of their principles being beaten all the time and sold their
souls to the very principles they use to despise. It’s about winning, not
what is moral and right. True: The Democratic Party was once made up of
“Classic” Liberals. People who by today’s standards make the conservatives
look like out right socialist.
Kerry and the
democrats are at a loss for words. What do we do now? The Republicans have
stolen our platform and their out “Democrat’n”
us. God forbid they should do a little soul searching and take up the
principles they forsook at the beginning of the last century. Sure there are
a lot of Americans who cannot get away from the idea it’s either a
republican or democrat but a lot of them are looking for some truth they can
count on as well. Tell the truth. Apologize for mistakes. Present a platform
that would represent the views of the Founders: NEVER. They’ll die first.
And they will, because the money, brains and lack of scruples are now in the
republican camp and they have the financial support of businesses that could
care less about America, other than to the extent it
profits them. Remember, the definition of an honest
politicians is one that, once he’s bought, he stays bought.
The
ALWAYS losers?
Americans giving their lives to achieve the goals of
people without morals or conscience in pursuit of their agenda, and the
American taxpayer. They’re the ones called on to finance the crimes
in blood and money. If you believe Bush and the Neo-Cons are well
intentioned, then know this. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
There you have
it. Motives abound. The oil interest in this country now
control the world’s second largest producer. Bush has given the
military industrial complex a $550,000,000,000 present, and that’s for just
this year. Companies like Halliburton are getting rich out of your pocket
“reconstructing” what they destroyed (good economics). Bush has had his “christian”
revenge on Saddam. The Likud and Sharon now
know, as Sharon so aptly put in one of his speeches,
“America will do as we say.”
The price for all this; over a
thousand dead American soldiers and counting.
Thousands physically and mentally wounded, many
for life. Estimates of over 30,000 “liberated” dead
Iraqi’s. Billions upon billions of your dollars up in smoke reeking
havoc on a nation that never posed any threat to us.
Loss of respect for a nation that professes “One nation under God” around
the entire world. Nations looking to defend themselves from the “US
Liberators” are building arms and joining in alliances at a rate created by
the “seekers of peace.” The Constitution being trashed, probably once and
for all, by this fine “Christian” president who put his hand on the bible
swearing to uphold it.
Some of you might
take offense to this. You’d tell me how horrible the acts of Arabs are,
cutting off people’s heads and so on and how they should be punished. Let me
ask you. Did you ever look at someone cut in half or decapitated with a 50
caliber machine gun? Did you ever see the body parts
laying all over the place after a missile hit? Did you ever see what
an M-16 on full automatic fire can do to a person? Anything you use as a
weapon is a tool to commit terror, whether it be
a conventional weapon, a broken bottle or, yes, a passenger plane. The
definition of terror is: A violent act of either a physical or psychological
nature to maintain or gain supremacy. Bush and company are trying to
terrorize the Iraqi people into submission to a government that will do the
government we serves bidding. Yes; American soldiers are being used as
terrorist. They are NOT there to defend us.
Convince me it
was and is worth it!
What will I do
about it if elected? I’ve done a lot of soul searching about that. First I
would give a speech condemning the actions of this government to the whole
world to demonstrate, strength admits its faults. Cowards do what we are
doing. As much as I despise the U.N., it’s there and the only body we can
turn to for help. I would agree to let that body come up with a solution and
abstain from having any voice in it so that our humility would out shine our
cowardice. I would then fund that which was needed to undo what we have
done. Criminals should pay restitution. From there, refer to my position
paper on Foreign Policy. |
