Down through
history, without exception, as people relaxed their morals and moral control
of their governments, we find evil Kings, Emperors, Dictators and others of
their ilk coming to power. Without exception, history teaches, these Tyrants
made it a point to disarm the populous out of fear of reprisal for their
persecution.
Americans,
suffering under the evil dictates of their Federal government (the Tyrant King
George and his comrades) were to be no exception. The first shots fired during
the Revolutionary War were brought about when the Red Coats marched into
Lexington and Concord to gather up the people’s arms.
“THEY TELL
US SIR, THAT WE ARE WEAK, UNABLE TO COPE WITH SO FORMIDABLE AN
ADVERSARY. BUT WHEN SHALL WE BE STRONGER?
WILL IT BE NEXT
WEEK? WILL IT BE NEXT YEAR? WILL IT BE WHEN WE ARE TOTALLY DISARMED AND A
GUARD STATIONED IN EVERY HOUSE?
SHALL WE GATHER
STRENGTH BY IRRESOLUTION AND INACTION? SIR,
WE ARE NOT WEAK IF
WE MAKE PROPER USE OF THOSE MEANS WHICH THE GOD OF NATURE HAS PLACED IN OUR
POWER.”…. Patrick Henry
When it came time
to write our forsaken Constitution, the founders knew from first hand
experience the most dangerous adversary a people could face was their own
government. They knew more people had been persecuted and killed by their own
government than all the invading armies into their respective countries.
The Second
Amendment was written with these thoughts in mind. In case of foreign
invasion, the people/militia would be capable of defending themselves and
their country.
In case despotism
and Despots (called socialism and Socialist today) reared their ugly heads
like cancer, and tried to take over the government, the people/militia would
be able to defend themselves and their country. You’ve all seen Western Movies
where the sheriff forms a Posse by deputizing citizens to apprehend the bad
guys. The citizen has no choice but to accept the position.
This concept relates to Posse
Comatatus…”In law, the power of the country,
or citizens, who are summoned to
assist an officer in suppressing a riot, or executing any legal precept which
is forcibly opposed”…Blackstone’s, Commentaries on Law. Posse
Comatatus is LAW in America
which precludes the use of the military as law enforcement personnel. It
became law after the Civil War as the danger of using Northern Soldiers to
police the South became evident.
It acknowledges the citizens RIGHT, and obligation I may add, to keep and bear
arms for law enforcement purposes. As law in the United States does not have
its origin with the government, but, as outlined in the Declaration of
Independence, with God, then it follows, the citizens have a God given Right
and Duty to defend the law, both in the ballot box and street. Needless to
say, the “Patriot Acts 1 & 2” perpetrated on the people of this country
endorse the concept of our all being considered guilty until we prove our
innocence. This law is a power grab by Bush and the Federal Government. It can
and probably will be the ultimate
gun control law in that it makes martial law very easy to impose. It also
opens the door for more regulation of firearms ownership, as who would want
some “guilty” person owning arms? This administration (Under the guise of
being moral) has and is perpetrating more amoral and unconstitutional
regulations on the people than any other in our history. The talk of Martial
Law to “protect” us in the event of another attack (orchestrated by it’s
foreign policy), it will for a certainty lead to the citizens losing their
Right to keep and bear the arms their Creator gave them. In my opinion, this
administration and the one the Democrats are offering, pose the greatest
danger to the citizenry. Far greater than any threat from
abroad.
Our forsaken
Judicial (it’s become legislative and political to a point “judges” are
appointed based on their political persuasion and legislate from the bench)
system was established to deal with immoral and amoral behavior. The Judicial
system was not to be the source of morality but to function under moral
guidelines, but today it interprets “morality” from an amoral perspective, (political
correctness). There is no room for the people to be in possession of
guns in a politically correct (Socialist) society like this one.
THE SECOND
AMENDMENT IS ABOUT CRIME IN GOVERNMENT. THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM IS ABOUT CRIME IN
THE STREET.
It is a Commandment
that predates man; only people who conduct themselves in a Moral (God given
rules of conduct) manner can claim Rights. Immoral people (justly so), they
are denied Rights and Amoral people never had them to begin with in that they
accept the will of men as the rules of conduct. If Rights seem to be slipping
away, then we must start to question our own conduct to regain them. We can’t
blame the government, as it is a product of our own making regardless of what
it is. Apathy is not an excuse. If you are not part of the solution, you are
part of the problem. As we fail to self-govern in a good way, we will/must be
governed by others; the rise of the POLICE STATE. I’m sure you are well aware,
relaxation of self-government is being replaced by the idea you are a victim,
not accountable for your actions, by the Socialist in the “educational
process.” Less self-government; more government.
“We’re from the government and we are to
protect you.”
It has been stated
“ the first sign of illegitimacy in government is
the peoples fear of the government and the governments fear of the people.”
Ask yourself. Are we there yet? Witness the metal detectors separating us
from our government. The cry for “100,000 more cops on the street” from the
Clinton camp and since endorsed by the Bush
administration instead of a cry to once again include moral instruction in the
school curriculum. The prohibition of our driving in front
of OUR OWN White House. The metal detectors in
government buildings which are an accusation of guilt.
The paranoia behind the movement to get guns out of the
hands of honest upstanding people. The idea people are guilty (not
politically correct) until they prove their innocence. The concept of “Might
makes Right .” Remember the “RESCUE” of Elian
Gonzalez.
What would history
have been if Tyrants like Hitler, Stalin, Lenin, Castro,
Pol Pot, Mao,
Mussolini, Nero,
Caligula, the Caesars and on and on had to deal with an armed populous.
Interestingly, Saddam Hussein did not prohibit private gun ownership. I
wonder. Tell me, do you feel more threatened by your neighbor you know to be
an upstanding citizen who has firearms in his home and never harmed anyone or
given you cause to fear him, or a government that consists of liars, thieves,
deceivers, moral derelicts and who knows what at its helm. Consider
Waco, Ruby Ridge, the murder of
Donald Scott in
Ventura California by government Regulators, the “rescue” of Elian Gonzalez.
When the government you serve routinely turns murderers, (including buying off
the government employed murderer at Ruby Ridge for $3,000,000 and Donald
Scott’s government employed murderers for $5,000,000 in tax payers money),
thieves, rapist and their ilk loose to prey on society on “technicalities,”
don’t you at least wonder if it has motives, or do you think their
incompetent? Either way, they are not living up to your
trust in them and they should be replaced. The history of the seizure
of the people’s ability to defend themselves in the
twentieth century has been to first register firearms and owners, then
escalate “licensing” cost and requirements to a point where only the
politically correct can possess them. Seizure can be coupled to a manufactured
“emergency” requiring the Regulators to eliminate resistance to their “police
actions” as well.
Consider the
following study done by the Clinton/Janet “Waco” Reno,
Dept. of Justice’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention
between 1993 and 1995.
In an attempt to
determine the relationship between “problem behaviors” like drug use, teen
pregnancy, and crime, child psychologist tracked 4,000 boys and girls aged 6
to 15 in Denver Colorado, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and
Rochester, New York
According to the
study
*Children who get
guns from their parents don’t commit gun crimes (0%) while children who get
illegal guns are very likely to do so (21%)
*Children who get
guns from parents are less likely to commit any kind of street crime (14%)
than children who have no guns in the house (24%) and are dramatically less
likely to do so than children who acquire an illegal gun (74%).
*Children who get
guns from parents are less likely to use drugs (13%) than children who get
illegal guns (41%)
“Boys who own
firearms have much lower rates of delinquency and drug use [than boys who own
illegal guns] and are even slightly less delinquent than non-owners of guns.”
Why, when their own
study proves the availability of guns in a legal and moral manner;
are not only not a threat to society but also a boon to society, why do
they lie and lie and lie. Aside from the fact they are liars, they have an
anti-American agenda, that’s why.
CRIME IN GOVERNMENT
IS A REALITY IN AMERICA.
Without the Second
Amendment we will lose all the other Amendments, except of course the
Amendments/Changes giving power to the Federal government such as the 16th,
17th and 14th. If we believe the “judges” appointed by the
Socialist that have taken over our Constitutional government, that the First
and other Amendments condone immoral and amoral behavior, then we will lose
the Rights associated with them including the Right accorded us by the Second
Amendment. Again Rights come from God. To keep them, we must conduct ourselves
in a moral way. Forsake one Right, lose them all.
Consider this.
George Bush was arrested for drug possession in Texas
years ago. He routinely carries guns. A fellow in
Pennsylvania who had a misdemeanor
conviction years earlier, was caught Deer hunting with his father who has
Alzheimer’s disease.
Under the Federal
law regarding possession of arms by people like this, he was sentenced to 15
years in jail. Tell me does “with Liberty and Justice
for all” still apply?
One last point: I
have been in the Firearms business for over 45 years. In that time I have
spoken to many, many people who demand their 2nd Amendment Rights
be upheld to the point it is the ONLY issue they care about. Some would vote
for someone who “says” he supports this but is ready and willing to do away
with all of the rest of them. If you want the Rights and Liberty God gave you,
you must not only defend them all but defend them knowing they came from God
and He has Commandments that must be followed if His gift is to be secure.
Gun ownership,
whether it be individually, or in the hands of the
government you and I establish, carries with it a huge moral responsibility.
As Americans, we should never, I repeat never, see them as a source of power
over others to be used to impose our will and appetite. Sad to say, the
Federal government along with many State governments have adopted the policy
“Might makes Right.” Guns, like war, should be the last resort in defense, not
the first. Never should they be used offensively. You can never impose peace
with a gun, only temporary submission. The history of the world tells us those
that have lived by the sword have all died horribly by the sword.
America will not be the exception.
